1 Cor 1:25-27
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
Lets think for a moment. Many today call us foolish, the "wise" are confounded by us. The world thinks us zealots. Dear reader look at who God called.... Abraham laid with Hagar, his maid, and bore a son, this caused a bunch of problems.
King David was an adulterer and murderer.
Moses was slow of speech.
Paul killed Christians
The list goes on, these mighty men of God had major issues, but called called them not because of who they were....but in spite of it. God uses anyone that is willing to be used. So you say you have a couple dents in your fender, a couple rips in your jeans, you are beaten down a little, bruised, had issues in the past, were in jail, used to be a addict, were abused, have a handicap or two, welcome to the Christ club.
1 Cor 1:28 says and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
God LOVES to use us in our weaknesses to show the world just how great He is. Come to the cross, make yourself available, and watch God work!

One thing to remember folks when people call us foolish because of our beliefs we are to have pity on them because they are perishing, they don't get it, and that is tragic.
