  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Unity Isn't Just a Feeling—It's a Profession! ✝️

Ever wonder what true unity in the church really means? It's not about emotional highs, cool events, or political agreement.

The Westminster Confession and Scripture (like Ephesians 4:4-6) are clear: the church's catholicity (universality) is built on a shared profession of the true religion, centered on one absolute truth: the undivided lordship of Jesus Christ!

One Body, One Spirit, One Lord, One Faith.

When we chase unity through human causes or mere sentiment, we risk replacing Christ's headship with something weaker. That kind of dilution actually divides us from the essential gospel truth.

Practical Challenge: Let's stop settling for superficial bonds. Let's actively seek out and unite with fellow believers around the essentials of Christ’s gospel, deepening our witness and strengthening our discernment.

Is your church unity rooted in Christ's sole Lordship? Share your thoughts below!
