I watched V for Vendetta last night.
"People shouldnt be afraid of their governments rather governments should be afraid of their people".
The crux of the story follows a young womans journey through a world that is ruled by a christian theocracy. In this world differing opinions are not tolerated, and would earn their way into black bags and detention camps and likely death.
But it got me thinking. If the only way the truth can survive is to supress all other differing points of view, then chances are it wasn't particularly life changing truth to begin with
