We all accept to frequent schools
Expect to learn some trade
But seeking God, obeying rules
Seldom are efforts made.
Like eagles soaring on the breeze
We’re deaf to Heaven’s call
We feel so free, ourselves to please
Like calves fresh from the stall
Such folly, far from being wise
Can bring no swift release
For calves attract so many flies
Denying blissful peace
As Satan who can see man’s flight
May send his demon host
May steal from souls the will to fight
Without The Holy Ghost
We need an anchor; strong and true
A Rock; on which to hold
With life’s vision in constant view
To live as Jesus told
Building on that which cannot move
Upon The Truth to stand
Knowing His Word our God will prove
Through Christ His righteous hand
What can the world, when God we trust?
What force has fellow man?
Heaven and hell would turn to dust
If God could fail His plan
The plan for those in Jesus’ hand
For those in Satan’s claws
The former will see The Promised Land
The latter hell’s gaping jaws.....
