  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

True Happiness

Real happiness can be ours right now by choosing to serve the Lord and rejoicing in the hope that He has given us.
We can choose to perish with the wicked, or we can make the right choice and serve the Lord our God with all our heart. If we do this, then God will be for us and who then can be against us?
We cannot control many of the things we have to deal with in our lives, but we can choose our attitude and what we do about them. Our life is summed up by these choices.
All down through the ages mankind has been given this type of free choice. In the garden of Eden man and woman faced their first moral decision, and we know they made the wrong choice.
True happiness comes from courageously making the right choices. Let us wake up every morning deciding to serve and obey our God and rejoicing that we have made the right choice. Then we will be among those who share the joy of “our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then we can say to all the heathen around us, The LORD hath done great things for us.
The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”
