To You I Will Ascend

I know my God I’m bound to die
Yet Satan failed to win
To You I will ascend on high
Through Christ who bore my sin

In Christ my hope will always stand
In Christ I’ve placed my trust
Through faith in Him I’ll dwell Your land
Whilst others turn to dust

It wasn’t always as I’d thought
The roads weren’t paved with gold
But battles we together fought
Have made Your servant bold

So bold to stand before my King
As Jesus’ loyal bride
Humbly Your praise to sing
Because I’m at His side

Until on earth my life is through
Remembering The Cross
I’ll stand my Saviour ever true
And never suffer loss

It’s through Your grace and perfect love
The gift of faith You gave
That I with Christ can dwell above
Instead of in the grave

By grace my God lest I should boast
Not beauty wealth or charm
But through the Fire of Jesus Ghost
And through His mighty arm

Oh what a God and what a prize
What love on me You’ve poured
What wonders now will see these eyes
Through Jesus Christ my Lord
