So ive been thinking about prayer lately. Have you ever heard that very about praying unceasingly? well I have and have always wondered how to do it. Does it mean to not do anything else all day? To stay home all day and sit in your room and just pray pray pray? Or does it just mean to be in continual thought towards God?
And what about "walking with God" Didnt Moses and David and the great people of the Bible "walk with God"? I have come across a new idea:.... WE can WALK WITH GOD AND PRAY UNCEASING TOO!!!!
The very thing I thought that a kid like me would never be able to achieve, has become a reality to me. To walk with God and to pray unceasingly are terms for here and now. This isnt just for great thoelogins and people we admire like St. Augstine and Spurgeon.... God has given ME an average person the ability to do this. Prayer isnt only for church and prayer meeting and meals.... and it isnt only when you choose to sit down and just pray. Prayer is continual!
If you think about it God is always listening to our thoughts. He is always with us. Not just when we say "Dear God". So if He is always with us and always listening, then we should pay attention to that. We should remember God always. Our thoughts should continually be towards God knowing there is nothing we can hide from him.
Our daily lives and prayer should be one and in harmony. Worship is included in that. have you ever thought that worship is not only for music. Have you ever worshiped God while you worked? Prayer and worship should also be insync!
Everything we do should be glorifying to God! Every aspect of our lives! When was the last time you made you bed for the glory of God? When was the last time you drank a bottle of water for the glory of God?
These are all ideas for a continual "walk with God". We can experience this too! God wants to walk with us. It is a very intamate and beautiful thing to hand your life over to such a great purpose as this!
