To the six-day creationists

Oh ye of little faith. Why do you place God so low that evolution is somehow beyond Him? Does he not work to let you evolve in your life? Does not life evolve in a mother's womb? Is not life, relationships and faith all about gradual evolution?

I do not understand your fear of science. God wrote the bible through man, but creation He wrote with His own words. Directly. He spoke, and the universe was created. When we then can hear the echo of God's voice through science, how can you doubt that this will lead anywhere but to a deeper understanding of the Lord for those who follow Him? How can you refuse to listen to the echo of God's voice simply because it doesn't fit your ideas about how things are supposed to be?!
You take one of the creation stories in the bible and discard facts and evidence just because you think your own interpretation of that one story is infallible. Do you do the same with Revelations? Or Jesus' parables? Do you see them as actual factual and accurate descriptions of what has or will happen? No. They are parables. Fictional stories touching on a deeper truth so that man can understand on a spiritual and personal level truths that are too complex and hard for him to understand otherwise. They are not descriptions of physics, chemistry or biology.
So why do you then take this parable and make it the focus of your faith? Does it save your soul to believe in and follow Jesus Christ, or does a belief in a six day creation save your soul?
