To Be Like Christ

To be like Christ is my desire
In thought, in word and deed
To drink His blood receive His Fire
And from His flesh to feed

I need the truth at Jesus’ feet
I need The Seed of life
Until the journey’s quite complete
And I’m The Saviour’s wife

I need to keep The Way in view
As Enoch did before
To walk in faith receive Your Dew
The Lamp through Heaven’s Door

The Passport to Your Promised Land
The Key to life above
The Counsellor to understand
Your precious Holy Dove

I pray my God, that I’ll be true
With Jesus all the way
Embrace this child and bring me through
To live with Him one day

Must I submit to just one piece?
One share of Christ divine
My quest for more will never cease
Till all He is, is mine

Till all of me, is found in You
Till You’re inside of me
Lord only then will I be new
And Satan finally free

Your promise Lord I pray be mine
Your Spirit Truth & Light
To drink from Life’s eternal wine
And strength to win the fight
