Odd isn't it, that although Jesus taught the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Lord's prayer refers to the Father's Kingdom and governance and is mentioned twice (where His will, not man's will be done), Christianity, rather than doing as commanded, turned itself back to the ways of mankind while claiming to represent God. This resulted in man self justifying it's self serving ways by using God in claiming it was His will when it was just the opposite. But hey, who is to argue with church tradition, or so they tell us.
God's will simply put, is to put others before self. It must be important because His first command ever since the Garden, is to put His will before our own. Hence anyone claiming to represent or follow God must be out there putting others before self, which of course lessens the chances of pursuing self interest. You know, that ol' original sin of self interest where we have come to seek gain at the expense of others and self justify it by continually redefining what is good and evil to suit our purposes? But what we see is a jumble of religious loopholes where man claims they are putting others first while waging war or looting buildings. Loving all as self, the second commandment of Jesus, is simply that; not using them then to seek gain for self.
The fact that these 'Christians' have aligned themselves with the world of man, especially politically, shows they have rejected the Kingdom for the ways of man, just as the Church once did in Constantine's time when it broadsided Jesus and His Gospel of the Kingdom to align itself with the ways of man rather than the Kingdom. Man's governance once again over-ruled the governance of God. They seek division between man rather than between the world of man and of the Kingdom. But these rebellious including modern day Christians, have simply followed 1700 years of church tradition in doing so.
Time to seriously consider if we are on the narrow path instead of being lead down the garden path and back into the world of man. Although the religion is made by man and has been used to serve man's purposes, it still contains in scripture rather than doctrine, the map to the narrow path to the Kingdom while the religion itself posts billboards and builds eight lane expressways back to the world of man.
Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. 16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
