I'm sat upon a dentist's chair
No hint of sweat on my brow
Treatment's needed here and there
Praise God for knowledge now
With head back, mouth widely agape
Fists clenched, toes stretching taut
Waiting the moment to escape
Hoping a good report
My teeth are good. my gums are fine
My breath's, now fresh and sweet
My soul sings out, from in life's shrine
Praise at my Saviour's feet
Jesus, the healer of my soul
Granting a brand new start
Setting apart, making me whole
Cleansing my sinful heart
Conflicts I've felt, troubles I've seen
Friends and family have died
To doctors, hospitals I've been
Pain has been well supplied
Yet all the while, God's eyes have seen
With ears, concerned on high
Willing, wanting to intervene
Waiting my aching cry
Long foolish, sinful selfish still
Lusting and wanting more
Devils tormenting, aiming to kill
Till God opened Life's Door
The path was clear, Life's Way plain
In truth I'm safe and sound
Obeying Christ, now born again
I'm Heaven truly bound.....
