The devil wants us beside him
Jealous of God's love for man
Keeping us dumb, ears closed eyes dim
To Life's eternal plan
Does he think God fails to know this
Jesus, will set man free
Heaven will suffer no remiss
Concerning victory
It's man who's eyes, must learn to see
Ears must learn to hear
With Father, Son, God's Ghost agree
Lovingly to fear
Obstacles may sometimes arise
Backslidings may take place
Who's faith sees beyond Paradise
Heaven will not deter
Devils may come, storm winds may blow
Doubt may linger a while
Yet what we plant, God will bestow
Generous with a smile
Satan will tempt, seduce, will lure
Think nothing telling a lie
Who such attacks as these endure
Will live and never die
With this in mind, within one's heart
Who walks Salvation's Way
Will play in life, no minute part
Will fear no Judgement Day
With Christ Jesus with us standing
Attorney at our side
No Judge will be demanding
God's Son's most holy bride.....
