Life's winding road can be quite long
At times, surprising short
Those foolishly living it wrong
Will dread judgement's report
Ailments may visit most of us
Some heal within a day
Others can cause a dreadful fuss
Where life ebbs swift away
Grey hair can be a precious gift
A life God's richly blessed
Or else when one has gone adrift
Could be a probing test
All things transpire with reason
This, we must understand
Eternal, or end in season
At Heaven's royal command
Nothing happens God fails to know
Nothing unseen, unheard
No speck of dust, small flake of snow
Nor mouthed silent word
How frightful heathens are living
Ignorant of lives misspent
God's busy, always forgiving
Each sinner who'll repent
I know, because fooled, I was one
Seeking a foolish goal
Till eyes opened through Christ God's Son
Saw healing of my soul
Once sick, once lost, now old and grey
Truth tests in things I do
Through Jesus, blood, life's mine to stay
But friend! What about you?.....
