The end of day's, Boy what a controversial subject!
I've struggled this mornin bout this scripture and "how" to write it! But the Lord put this particular subject on my plate so it is what it is!
When I first announced I'd be dedicating my pages to ministry I whole heartedly expected my friends to dwindle! But, I did what the Lord put on my heart without worry of losing friends. Much to my surprise my friends list began to grow, with people I didn't even know! The Lord's let me know it's alright to lose a few over this subject so here goes!
When we look around the world today, all of the "crap" listed in the above mentioned scripture is like a plague, people are living and believing that way. Their priorities are in a bad, bad place. Their value's are in material things, their standards are beyond low and there isn't much in the way of moral's anymore.
Each and everyone of us needs to pause, take a step back and evaluate ourselves. Everyone needs to start asking themselves, "what would Jesus do".
The end times are near, I for one am not afraid, as a matter of fact I'm excited! I'm workin hard to be the example the Lord would have me be and and reminding myself before I act or react "what would Jesus do"...
Life is not all about the biggest t.v., the nicest car or the prettiest house. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in what you've worked hard to achieve, unless the goal is "keeping up with or being better than the jones'"...
It's time to take a deep breath and a long overdue look at ourselves and make some changes for the better. It's time to be accountable for our "short falls" and make some changes.
It's time to draw closer to the Lord and follow His instruction. Mimic His priorities, His behavior.
I know from being humbled this is a HARD thing to do, but I also know personally, it IS worth it!
I'm not writing this to demean anyone, I'm just as guilty as some when it comes to the wrong "priorities". I'm not better than anyone else. We all, including me, need to take a look in the mirror of accountability and make some long overdue changes!
I, for one, DO NOT want to be counted as the kind of people described in the above scripture!
I I pray to please my Lord through my choices and my behavior.
I pray to see others do the same and start seeing Love, kindness and forgiving becoming a plague on the news!
I pray to see people content with just what they have and make the best of it, have pride in selflessness, not material things!
The greed of humanity is taking over where the Love of the Lord should be at an alarming rate.
Today- Let's start making that change! Make a difference!
