Unconditional Love...It's Fascinating! But, do we know it? No.
Imagine your savior & what He went through on the cross for you, now think "Honestly", would you do that, gladly, for someone?
I believe as humans the closest to "unconditional love" we have gotten is the Love for our children.
I believe we all need to learn it though, for others.
I cannot (and may never be able) imagine the terror, unbearable pain and horror Jesus went through for me on that cross. He did it gladly for you and I. Now, think of your children, husband, wife, other family members, even friends and perfect strangers...Would you do what he did for us for any of them? BE HONEST.
I believe when we answer "no" to this question it is because we do not know "true" unconditional Love! But, I want to learn it, I want to feel and know it, so that someday if that situation were to present itself, I would and could truly Love someone just as much as Jesus clearly Loved and still Loves me to this day!
Wouldn't you?
So, why shouldn't we start "perfecting" ourselves in Love, learning what true Love is through our Lord's word and His unconditional Love for us?
Or should I say why don't we?
I imagine Jesus on that cross in horrible pain, do I REALLY, in my heart of hearts want that to be me in all that pain and horror...DUH, of course not!! None of us would want that for ourselves.
But....would we endure it if we were in that position?
I'd like to say yes, but I'm not sure I could! That's why I WANT to learn "unconditional" Love, I WANT to be "perfected" in Love and I want AND need my Savior to teach me, no one else, because NO ONE but Him knows "true unconditional Love" for another.
Today-Say and do EVERYTHING out of only Love, When we were children we "pretended" when we played...Today, Pretend to be your Savior and behave ONLY how he would out of "unconditional Love"!!
