Do you hold grudges?
I have! I don't recommend it either!Just like any other form of "evil", it'll eat you alive!If you'll let it!!
I've asked it before and I'll ask it again, what would you do if God refused to forgive you? Holding a grudge will accomplish 2 things for you, 1. It'll ruin your life, eat you up in anger and hatred. and 2. It'll ruin your relationship with your Father.
Now I don't know about the rest of ya, but I'm "building" my relationship with my Father, I certainly don't want Him to refuse me the forgiveness I want and more importantly NEED! Why on earth should I do to others what I don't want done to me?!!
So, I forgive.
I forget.
I choose to shed the hurt, anger, evil and hatred of grudges.
I choose to mimic my Father and Love that person who did me wrong and forgive their trespasses, just like my Father forgave mine all those years ago and still does today!
This "morning's Scripture" is my own writing, but the following "dare" is not! It comes from a movie called "The Grace Card". If you haven't seen it, go rent it and watch it! This is one you don't want to miss!!
The dare...Get yourself a small piece of paper and write on it, "I promise to pray for you every day, ask your forgiveness, grant you the same and be your friend always." Sign your name at the bottom.
Put it in your wallet/purse and prepare yourself to give it to the person you've held that grudge against or the next person you run into that you do not get along with.
As a fair warning, you'll need to make up a few of these papers! "The grace Card" will open your eyes to just how many people you hold anger against, it'll teach you, and it'll humble you.
Today- Write your "Grace Cards" and start the healing process from hatred, anger, hurt and vow...NO MORE GRUDGES!!
