Elicit sex, beckoning lights
Debauchery drugs and drink
With such as these the devil fights
To make God’s children sink
Attack; the foe, in Christ defend
The devil’s out to kill
The truth’s not hard to comprehend
For those on Zion hill
Throughout the years, the battle cry
Has gone from land to land
A testament to those who die
Not found in Jesus’ hand
Yet still we drink from Satan’s cup
But few give thought to God
The youth today are so mixed up
While parents spare the rod
What strategy would David use? –2Sa.5:23
Or Abraham, God’s friend –Gen.12:13
What tactic, would the foe confuse? –1Pe.5:8
Or bring about his end?
Jehoshaphat, had questions too!
To God he made his plea –2Ch.20:6
His foe so vast now plain in view
Had ventured cross the sea –2Ch.20:2
“My God! You see your servant’s plight
Your children soon could fall
We have no strength to win the fight
So now on You we call” –2Ch.20:12
The victory came, as now we see –2Ch.20:22-26
God heard! His servant pray
Now we in Christ must all agree
