They jest at each story
Of pain most severe,
And puzzlement
No man can end.
Of how only
Jesus could
Break through the walls
Of struggle,
A strong and true friend.
“It’s just meant for losers,”
They chide every time.
“Who hear what they
Wanted to hear.”
And yes, I will answer,
“A loser, that’s me;
Of heartache,
Confusion and fear.”
