THE VEIL WAS TORN IN TWO
The veil was torn in two,
So that such as me and you,
Might meet Him beyond the veil,
For in the temple His garment did trail.
Now we can go right into the holy place,
Enter the ‘holy of holies’ and see Him face to face,
He has prepared the way for us,
Our wonderful Savior, the Lord Jesus.
We must come clothed in righteousness,
Through His blood we have forgiveness of sins,
And to enter in we must seek only Him,
He wants to take us into the secret places.
So now I come seeking Him beyond the veil,
Things of this world are unimportant, of no avail,
My heart cries out “I must have more of you,
Thank you Lord that you love me like you do.
It was you that planted this longing in my heart,
For you and only you let my life be set apart,
I am hungry, I am thirsty, I have to come closer,
And you take me by the hand ad draw me in nearer.
Now I stand amazed at the wonder of your countenance,
It is true I can boldly come and at you glance,
Let my heart start to beat with your heart beat,
I bow down , tears flowing down, humbled at your feet.”
