I was praying one night when the phrase Trojan horse came up in my heart, I understood immediately what the Lord was trying to show me, now for those who may not know what the ancient tale is all about, here is a brief history.
The Trojan horse is a tale from the Trojan War about the subterfuge that the Greeks used to enter the city of Troy and win the war. In the canonical version, after a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a select force of men inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, decisively ending the war.
Metaphorically a "Trojan Horse" has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place.
We all have seen the horrendous and moving pictures of the tragedy that is playing out throughout Europe, thousands of refugees fleeing the bloodbath and the indescribable horrors of the Syrian war and the ISIS offensive, as public pressure mounts on political leaders in across many nations are forced to open their doors to accept these unfortunate souls.
Let me quickly say here that my heart goes out to the thousands of people whi have been caught up in this humanitarian tragedy, they are victims of the diabolical manipulations of the dark kingdom, however I want to step away from the human angle to this unfolding scenario and draw attention to the hidden activity that is fueling these crises and why it is such a dangerous development.
We need to realize that earth is the stage for the interplay of spiritual forces, the forces of good versus the forces of evil, this conflict is as old as the Garden of Eden and discerning how this plays out in our families, nations and even in the lives of individuals is very important.
Consider for example the story of Job and witness the high level activities that were taken place for and against him without his knowledge, thank God today Jesus has thrown back the veil that covers the influences that shape the destiny of men and nations.
We are not as ignorant today as Job was.
Okay, as Europe open her doors to the thousands of refugees that are fleeing the crises in Syria and ISIS held lands, she is also unwittingly opening her door to the influence and ideologies that have threatened her way of life for centuries.
For centuries the devil has sought to destroy the Christian culture of the west and he has used Islam as one of his choice tools , for a long time Arab invaders sought to impose an Islamic culture in Europe but they were largely resisted by the kings and emperors of the European nations, they had some success around Turkey and Cyprus, many people would be surprised to learn that these areas were once Christian lands that were overrun by Islamic invaders.
Just as ancient Troy was able to hold off the armies of her attackers until a subterfuge enabled them to gain access into Troy, unwittingly aided by Troy itself so the exodus of migrants many of them Muslims and their acceptance by many nations states in Europe has become the Trojan horse of the 21st century.
Am I advocating that these people should not be helped? No, but looking beyond the human angle, I consider that the events that have brought us to this point is part of a demonic agenda to impose darkness over Europe, I hope to elaborate on this in a later post, but suffice it to say for now that for many parts of Europe where their Christian roots have been weakened by secularism and humanism this invasion by a foreign ideology will not meet much resistance.
A stronger Christian culture would have been able to absorb the inflow without breaking under it, in fact it would have provided the perfect opportunity to bring many to the light of the gospel which had transformed the Christian worlds and laid the basis of modern civilization.
Some time ago the Lord spoke to me in a prophetic dream, where I saw Britain reeling under the blows of Islamic fundamentalism, the political leadership seemed to have no answer to this onslaught, but in the midst of the terror, I saw that a great army rose out of the black Christian population in Britain and began to beat back the onslaught and eventually prevailed, please note that the conflict was not a physical one but a conflict of ideologies, of belief systems and spiritual powers.
For Britain, I saw that God had used the huge inflow of black Christians from nations that were formerly a part of the British Empire to provide the spiritual strength that the native Church lacked. As I inquired of the Lord why this was so, I was made to understand that it was because of the sacrifices of the many missionaries from Britain that accompanied her colonization efforts, ministering in foreign lands and many dying in their efforts to bring the light they had to a continent and a people in darkness.
I see that the present migrant situation is setting up nicely the conditions for the fulfillment of this prophetic dream. There are European nations that will not be able to resist this onslaught unless the Lord in his mercies intervenes.
It was a very intense conflict but Britain prevailed, there are other aspects of this revelation that are best left for some other time, but this is sufficient for now.
I believe one of the reasons why God reveals these things is so that we can craft a response with the help of the Spirit and not be caught unawares by the activity of the devil.
Please understand that it is not the will of God that Europe or any other nation fall under the rule and power of the evil one, but Europe will pay the price for her rebellion against God and for some countries that price will be heavy but there is hope in God.
I believe that the Church in Britain and by extension Europe can respond to this in some of these ways.
1.) Prayer; this is the first, second and third thing to be done, the Church should pray that the Church should come to God in repentance for her rebellion but more particularly the immigrant Church should pray that God will open their eyes to understand His purpose for them in the country, that they will not be swept away by the promise of economic prosperity but realise that they are in the UK for such a time like this.
2.) Pray for a heaven sent revival for the immigrant Church
3.) Church leaders should begin to build strategic alliances and relationships for the purpose of establishing a spirit of unity, this battle cannot be fought and won by a divided Church.
4.) Church leaders should equip and disciple their people after Christ to establish them and enable them to stand strong against these false ideologies.
5.) Church leaders should be willing to release their people to effectively minister in the power and spirit of Jesus.
6.) There must be a change in paradigm and a return to the biblically established pattern for ministry and Christian living.
7.) Pray for political leaders that they may not be sucked under the pressure of political correctness and buckle under the oppression of an aggressive ideology.
8.) Pray that God will open their eyes and hearts of these political leaders that they will tie the hands of the Church by legislation that will aid the establishment of an oppressive and anti Christ ideology.
