The “dead in Christ” shall rise first. The dead are those who died in faith having not received the promises but saw them from afar. They are the biblical saints. Their words shall be enlivened by our Lord who shall interpret them for His glory…and they share in His glory as we will also by preaching them. We are made partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light.
They shall “stand upon their feet”….and shall ascend up to heaven in a “cloud”…for they are the “cloud of witnesses”. We…together with them…shall be caught up together with them in “clouds”. This is NOT a literal scene. It speaks of us preaching their words in His heavenly knowledge and not in the earthly wisdom of men who wrest the Scriptures.
Revelation 11:
(11) And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
(12) And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
The Son of man comes in clouds. He comes in a “cloud of witnesses”…and there is great power in their words. We are of His flesh and bones….the Son of man. We speak His words….which are “angels”…messengers….which shall be sent forth to gather together His elect (Jews and Gentiles) from every wind of doctrine that men teach in their deceptions.
Mark 13:
(26) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
(27) And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
This is about flesh and bone men (the Son of man) preaching the Word of Truth to others…and not some fantastical scene typically visualized. He gives some for the “perfecting of the saints”…for we shall preach their words in His knowledge….which shall build the body of Christ until we ALL come in the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man. We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets. We shall no longer be children who are tossed to and fro being carried about with every wind of doctrine (the 4 winds) preached by men who lie in wait to deceive.
Ephesians 4:
(11) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
(12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
(14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
The Son of man comes in clouds….preaching the words of the saints in the Light of the knowledge of God. We are to REMEMBER to let brotherly love continue.
Hebrews 13:
(1) Let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to “entertain strangers”….for some have entertained the messengers of God unawares. One does not know whom they may be talking with….so we are to let brotherly love continue at all times.
(2) Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
We are to always let brotherly love continue…..being ready at all times….for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.
Luke 12:
(40) Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
(41) Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
A faithful and wise steward will remember to have love for their brothers….entertaining “strangers” . We are to hear and not behave badly when we will hear the Word of Truth being preached by the brothers.
(42) And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
(43) Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
But if we think that the Lord delays His coming and will begin to beat those who are sent by Him to preach the Word of Truth to them, then they are unaware that they are being visited by Him through those who were sent by Him to them. The Son of man had come in a day when they looked not for Him…as they did bash and contradict those they did not agree with when they heard their words.
(45) But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
(46) The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
After the hardness and impenitent heart will they treasure up unto their selves wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. By our words shall we be judged and His judgment is just. As He hears, He judges. He will render to every man according to his deeds toward the hearing of the Word of Truth.
Romans 2
(5) But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
(6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Some will be contentious and not obey the Truth…to have love for one another. They will instead obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath against what they will hear with their ears. The “beast” comes up out of the heart….the bottomless pit.
(8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
(9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
We are to love those who are sent to preach His Word to us. We are to have unfeigned love for the brethren….the “strangers” sent to preach to us His Word in sincerity. Let us not be caught unawares….and behave badly towards those brothers who will be sent to us. Their words shall not conform to our own religious thoughts and ways and we are to be on our best behavior and listen and consider. We are to be born from above…what we hear with our ears….the incorruptible seed.
1 Peter 1:22-23 KJV
(22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
(23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
We shall know that we have passed from death unto life….because we love the “brethren”….those SENT by Him to preach the Word of Truth in Christ.
1 John 3:
(13) Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
(14) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
(15) Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Those who are sent forth will faithfully preach deliverance from the prisons of religious-sounding men. Many shall depart from the “graves” of deceitful men as they will faithfully preach His Word to those who shall journey out of their company. Many shall go forth from Babylon taking nothing of theirs with them.
3 John 1:
(5) Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
(6) Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
(7) Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
(8) We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
But those who will love the preeminence among men shall not receive the “strangers”….the brothers. They will not love the brothers….and so will prate against them with malicious words. The Son of man comes at an hour that they are not aware of…..for He finds them sleeping….forgetting to have brotherly love.
(9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
(10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Those who are of God shall hear the “brethren” ….the messengers. Those who are of God will not be found “sleeping” but shall have love for the brethren. But those who are not of God shall not hear….and will behave badly towards the preaching of the Word of Truth.
1 John 4:
(6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
(7) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
The Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His messengers….and He shall reward every man according to his works. Men will hear the Word of Truth being preached by those brothers who will be sent. They will either have love for the brothers who are sent to preach to them….or will prate against them with malicious words….not remembering to have brotherly love.
Matthew 16:
(27) For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
We are to take heed on how we will hear. We have a more sure word of prophecy…being preached by our Lord through those who will speak as moved by the Holy Spirit. We are to continue hearing as the Light shines in a dark place and the day dawns and the day star arises in our hearts.
2 Peter 1:
(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
(21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The speaking of those who are sent by Him will cause the Light to shine in our dark hearts. The Light shall shine out of the east and unto the west. The daystar in the morning does this…shines from the east to the west. We are to take heed on how we hear….not fashioning ourselves according to the lusts…envy and stife…that we behaved before in our ignorance (the dark).
Matthew 24:
(26) Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
(27) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
The “eagles”…malicious words…shall gather together against the preaching of the Truth by those who are dead in their sins. They will not want to hear it and so their own words shall come back to judge them.
(28) For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Birds are words flying in the midst of heaven. The malicious words that shall fly out of the unbelievers’ mouths shall feed upon those who will use them to war against the Word of God and against His army.
Revelation 19:
(17) And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
(18) That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
(19) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
(20) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
(21) And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
The unclean breath will come out of a man as he will speak evil of the Truth and will evilly malign those who will preach it. Their evil speaking shall not find a place to rest in those who will not return evil for their evil. Their own evil breath shall return back upon them as they are devoid of His Word within their hearts…..their “house” being desolate of having love. That man shall wax worse and worse.
Luke 11:
(24) When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
(25) And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
(26) Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
They shall “stand upon their feet”….and shall ascend up to heaven in a “cloud”…for they are the “cloud of witnesses”. We…together with them…shall be caught up together with them in “clouds”.
