For the soul that has a saving relationship with Messiah Jesus, true prosperity has nothing to do with being affirmed by the materials that are possessed. The Good News of our Savior is prosperous in every way, in all circumstances. This is why straining the blessed message to attempt or claim a self-enrichening is unsatisfying and spiritually non-affirming.

Habakkuk 3:17 | Philippians 4:12 |
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, 18 Yet I [the Prophet Habukkuk] will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. | I [the Apostle Paul] know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. |
