  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Plan

Jesus was not a Christian. He was Jewish. His original followers were Jewish only. These Jewish disciples, followers and Apostles remained Jewish. Nor did He come to create a religion, but to fulfill not only OT scriptures, but to further God's agenda in overcoming adversity. His priority was the Gospel of the Kingdom, not religion, churches, or the doctrines of man. He taught us how we err and how to repair. Man has a habit of institutionalizing things, while Jesus' 'church' was built upon the rock solid foundation of God's truths. Not man's concept of truth. Man of course, under the influence of leaders, both political and religious, would rework His message and the scriptures that followed, to suit their own purposes. Access to scriptures older than what we previously had, have shown the subtle changes made over the centuries. As a result, we apparently have over 45,000 denominations today all claiming they hold the key, with most following the original rabbit trail created by, not the original followers of Jesus, but early institutional Christianity.

If you recall, Jesus mentioned children a number of times in scripture, suggesting simple truth was all that was needed, as even they would understand. No need for teachers with degrees, as these would only come to see themselves as authoritative figures in their own rite, and then yet another hierarchy would begin. His continual feud with the Sanhedrin and other rabbis was in calling out their human 'government' and their control, putting themselves over the will of God. These human governments (in all forms) eventually used God for their own purposes rather than follow His Will. It's the way of man to put self first.

Books and letters, now called scriptures, would eventually be collected. The 'official' Bible, as we know it, came centuries later. A council was called and the idea was to weed out what did not fit the narrative, including with their Hellenistic thinking. This done in order to unify what would become a controlling governmental religion within the Empire, thus dictating authourity over the rebellious factions of the religion itself in order to eliminate dissent (and later even filtering out the Jew). It was following the same idea that Constantine had used during the civil war which he had recently won over the Latin portion of the Empire. This achieved partly by painting crosses on his army's shields in order to have Christians in the opposing armies surrender or join his side in unity over the Christ.

Christianity had been weaponized and the change had begun. Christianity had become useful to the governments of man. The newly sanctioned Bible not only was used as a unifying tool within the Empire's religion, but fortunately for us as time went on, also became our prime source for learning the Will of the Father and the story of His struggle with adversity in both us and the elohim. It can be used for both good and evil purposes, but the example set by governments of man that furthered the new religion certainly could not (nor should not) set any example for us of God's will. They opposed it.

The wishes of these authoritative figures meant having to adhere to strict doctrinal shackles of man. This rather than the freedom to continually seek God as we are commanded to do. There should be no final say in what Christianity should be by any institution of man, though they will insist. Salvation is a personal goal, not to be guided by a human agenda rather than by the Kingdom (which they themselves rejected in the Empire's time). Such has always been the way of man, especially those who seek power. Every governing body of man seeks the same, this while the Kingdom of God is the opposite in nature. Is it any wonder that the more that man learns to think for themselves, that authourity out of paranoia, then increases it's surveillance of the masses? Today is a prime example of power fearing for itself, with increasing surveillance everywhere. Its time too is coming to an end, as the will of God will replace the selfishness of mankind. He said so, whether we like it or not.

Jesus wouldn't have said to continually seek God if instead we were to follow mankind, as both its political and religious governments tell us to do. He wouldn't have disputed the clergy either, had they not deserved it.
Matthew 23: 13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.

He wouldn't have said God's Will be done (not man's) if humans were to be followed. But yes, they did crucify Him, just as they have always destroyed that which offends their notion of authourity or credibility. God has always had to face opposition by those who would rather defend the world, along with its authourity and institutions of man. This over God's simple truth. A team cheering mentality by humans proves that, when it comes to all the denominations in the game that people would rather defend than God's truth. Worldly is as worldly does, and it will always defend self before the will of God. Few wish to reject the world we have made in our own image in favour of the Kingdom as Jesus taught.

The bottom line is not to be distracted over politics, let alone theological issues. Distracting us, as did the church and all politics since almost the beginning, from the real message of God's Will overcoming the selfish will of both man and elohim. Jesus accomplished, as a servant to God, what the House of Israel had failed to do ( created after the elohim had failed previously also) when they both were given the chance to serve the Father. Mission was accomplished by Him and it is senseless to focus on human discrepancies rather than promote what was accomplished. I am sure the Adversary, and those of adversity, would prefer to keep quiet their failures, thus seeking to control the narrative by promoting argument over human political and religious history, thus drawing us back into the world. The good news (gospel) first and foremost, is that the Kingdom overcame all controlled nations (both by elohim and man) and adversity to the Father. It precedes all other gospels. This was His intent. It should not be forgotten, as we instead try to make it all about ourselves during what is left of the age of choice, where we decide by our lives which we will side with. We can't have it both ways.
