The Perfect Rope

It is quite a nice experience over the Christmas season to be pleasantly reminded of days gone by, not only of Christmases past, but in how settled society used to be. However, one might say it is also rather unsettling to see how much society has itself changed, where God or Jesus are not seen as the basis for that settled society, but instead as nostalgic reminders of the past, especially at Christmas time.

It is hard to believe that only a decade ago, although with increasing rarity, Jesus or God was still mentioned, even in Hollywood movies, without ridicule but as a natural part of life, a normal part of conversation. The impact of this decline was for me brought to a head over the Christmas season, ironically by the internet, which in itself has played a great part in the overall decline of the common good previously existing within the parts of the world including those figure-headed by Christianity.

Although radio and other media has shied away from the more religious Christmas carols, the internet is still awash with Christmas "radio" stations quite happy to play those increasingly forgotten melodies. Of course this is in reference to the traditional oldies of the post war era, not the modern versions of those religious carols by today's artists, laughingly even of other faiths, who are more interested in showing themselves off to an alien Christian Christmas market, all in the name of profit rather than as human examples of what they sing.

There was no leap of imagination involved in listening to the older artists in discerning that they lived in harmony with Christianity, even if not partaking in it. It was understood that society in our world for the most part, was the result of the Christian faith (not the religion) and folks simply shared the morals and standards that permeated all walks of life in countries touched by goodness traditionally represented by God. What really stood out were songs now played for the most part only at Christmas time, but that had also graced the airways year round. Many were the songs of various genres from western to kiddies to top 40 that played without compartmentalization in a secular world unlike today (where Christianity selfishly demands it's own identity and market) yet promoted the goodness and justice of the Kingdom without fear of mentioning God.

So what happened? Can any one thing be held responsible for God becoming an unsavoury three letter word?

What seems to have happened in hindsight yet predicted millenniums ago, was what we often refer to as a perfect storm, but in this case a planned coming together of conditions, out of which now grows a new society. Is this God's long awaited end that mankind falsely proclaims in lieu of taking responsibility themselves for what will happen? Or is it merely the result of what God knew would happen if man was given enough time to create the perfect rope to hang himself with.

It seems to me, that what once was accepted without spite and as a natural part of modern civilized society, first became a tool for manipulation and then more recently having served it's purpose, was no longer seen as necessary in the bigger picture. In other words, God had served His purpose to power hungry men since, for our Gentile part, where He first was used to support and unite secular empires in the days of Rome. Now once again, mankind is attempting to go it alone, setting ourselves up as gods having become so full of ourselves and our accomplishments that certain individuals believe they have created the ultimate systems of control and power; success in finalizing the original act of rebellion in the Garden. The adversary's children have come of age.

The very fact that this most recent change has taken a century may surprise some, but anything done quickly raises alarm bells. It has after all, been almost 2000 years since a Light was momentarily cast to expose the shadows. The effect of that Light takes eons to fade especially when the hand of mankind first used that Light for their secular advantage. Shadows have time on their side also, but the Light is no longer necessary to it's plan.

Manipulation of society by the powers and principalities intent on world domination has been a matter of trial and error and every period of rebellion, especially in the last 50 years of anti-establishment thinking, has simply taught the establishment how to quell any further dissension by man. In particular, dissension by those who resent being forced to follow the will of man rather than of their God. Unsurprisingly, even faux worldly Christians are pitted against dissenting Christians allied to the enemy Kingdom in this effort.

It may sound like an impossible feat for man to dominate mankind when so many before have failed. That includes that last great attempt precipitating WW II that went on while the real enemy, a twin of opposing nature yet acting in tandem against God, was already in the background and above all, working it's ways in the world before eventual front-line public exposure after 1945 and publicly united in purpose in the 90's.

The only thing standing in the way of this long sought accomplishment of world domination was time itself. In order to maintain control of a complete world rather than a handful of nations, the right conditions, and especially the right tools, must exist. Today for the first time in history we have those tools where it is not nation against nation, but a system over the entire world where no man may buy or sell with 'permission', where food and finance can be denied. Dissenters, be they individuals or countries, can in effect lose all. The modern day form of banishment, slavery and imprisonment of will.

So why have we gone from the strains of melodies past to a world intent on self? When did the God immersed society of those days convert from a way of life to become a political tool? When did the music come to represent not God, but those who claimed to speak for God in a secular world? When was this music deemed no longer necessary, it's purpose having been served?

The why has been answered but the how lies in seeing realistically the actions of the elements of society carried away with the lure of self serving reward. We are well aware of the commercializing of Christmas but that is, although connected, a different matter. People are no longer content to live comfortably wrapped in the society of that nostalgic age gone by. The comfortable feeling of peace and goodwill toward men has been lost to those unfamiliar with God's ideals and society, replaced by promise of reward and false representation of what is called valuable in this world over the old school and outdated giving of self.

From the misuse of religion by politicians, preachers and practitioners alike, to the nourishment of infantile minds to demand personal rights over responsibility in the pursuit of self satisfaction, we now see the results. An overall chaos of mindless manipulation amongst the rabble skilfully controlled by the true powers and principalities of mankind, where chaos is but a tool of convenience that continues to mask their true identity.

Seriously. In setting up the ultimate anti-Christ system (meaning not against Christ Himself but going against His ideals and commandments), just how difficult is it to encourage the masses to take advantage of what comes naturally to mankind?

Self interest prevails, from those thriving to be at the top, down to the very bottom feeders looking for identity who support these ladder climbing oppressors while never having any chance of reaching the same level of human godliness themselves, but foolishly believing the promise. Again I stress, all are guilty in that the secular can no more be blamed than the religious. All NON-dissenters use each other for personal gain, be it material or emotional.

So what does all this have to do with a few old Christmas carols? Simple. Christmas carols and those secular songs that spoke of God were "out there", a influential part of society. They were a part of everyday life for both religious and non alike, yet all got along in a society that leaned towards God without forcing beliefs upon others. Good in society, at least on the surface where most importantly example is shown, far outweighed evil. The seed was simply sown and in plain view to be accepted or rejected, offending few. Goodness needs no strings attached.

Of those few, their motives were obvious and they were seen for who they were unlike today where line has been blurred and the inmates rule the asylum on all levels. Today, those opposed to God "stand out" in all aspects, given voice not only by changes built on personal rights over responsibility but the very internet that I spoke of earlier that has given voice to this ancient minority. Babel is back. A minority now given voice to tickle the senses of all in a position to make a choice. The promoted rewards of this world easily overcoming the rewards of an unseen Kingdom. Their promotion is winning out.

So as you can see, society boils down to who is getting out the most advertising. Can this be reversed? Yes. Will it? Highly unlikely for as I said, the time has come where repercussions can easily seek out and fall on anyone in the world who seems rebellious to the ideals mankind has created to rule and oppress.

However this does not mean we cannot try... by simply putting God back into the picture. Not promotion by the ways of extremist wingnuts past and present, who have given Christianity a bad name. Not by those who have made Christianity the object of ridicule with their fanatical methods of pushing their ideals or particular faith upon people, driving them further away.

Simply by a promotion of goodness, showing why God's ideals outshine the ideals of mankind, for gain may use goodness but creates none. Merely in simple attitude and conversation as was done in those old songs and everyday conversation in the days when society was a comfortable glove that fit all and goodness was connected with God, not gain. By asking as was once done, what is it about the world today that makes us uncomfortable and showing as represented in the secular music, the secular movies and everyday life back then, how the ideals of the Kingdom combat those fears.

Not in pushing a religion of man in opposition to a system of man (for the two are built upon the same principles) but in speaking of and living the ideals of the Kingdom (that oppose those principles) that once ruled society and everyday habits in the days gone by. By seeing society in a world once based on goodness rather than based on ideals contained within borders and defined as such. By pursuing togetherness rather than division for spite or sport. There was respect in those days for the ideals of God over those of mankind (as any Capra movie showed) and that respect reflected in the society of the day, even though the enemy ideals of mankind were already hard at work.

So it is simple. Speak up. Set the example. Let the old society of goodness to be striven for 'out-advertise' today's society of take. Be a good human in conversation and deed rather than a religious zealot or a secular fanatic or someone passing off mockery as intelligence.

Let the fruits of repentance once again seed the world and return society to be something striven for rather than mirroring selfish deed. If our fruits remain in defence of ideals unrepentant, the noose made from the rope that man has created will continue to tighten and the end will be obvious through no fault of God.

Luke 3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance...
