What a blessing teaching Sunday School has turned out to be! What sharp minds and deep spiritual understanding the kids evidence if the right questions are asked.
I've been learning more from teaching than the kids have from learning, i am sure. Just preparing the lessons is an education in itself, and then doing the necessary research to answer the questions posed in class just adds frosting to the cake as far as my learning curve is concerned.
Combining Middle and High School students worked out well in that the older kids are able to keep the younger ones in line and also answer many of their questions which come up in the course of a lesson. i think the kids absorb the ideas and information much more readily from each other's input rather than listening to an old fogey like me ramble on. It is a really interesting mix of ages and outlooks this year, and i feel blessed to be a part of it.
THANK YOU LORD!
