"Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." -Jesus
-Matthew 28:19-20
"And He, Jesus, said them, 'Go into ALL the world and preach the Gospel to EVERY creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."
-Mark 16:15-16
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Jesus
-Acts 1:8
"And He (Jesus) commanded us (Christians, followers of Christ), to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him (Jesus), all the prophets witness that, through His name, WHOEVER believes in Him will receive remission of sins."
-Acts 10:42-43
-The Mission Statement-
Our most important role as Christians, with eternal life, is to share the Gospel of Jesus with unbelievers. These are just a few instances of Jesus commanding--not requesting--us to go and tell all of the world of the Good News of Christ coming and dying for our sins--the price He paid for our freedom. He wants EVERY soul to be in the kingdom of heaven, because He paid for each one. Why shouldn't He get what he so selflessly paid for? Because we were eternally separated from God since birth (though we had not yet sinned, we were born INTO sin.), we could not go to the kingdom of heaven, which is why God sent his ONLY Son to die for you, and for me, and for every soul that you see. It's amazing to think that there are people out there who don't know and have never heard of Christ's everlasting, unconditional love for them. And God doesn't love any one person more than the rest, no matter how "undeserving" or "deserving" they are of His love. He loves us all equally, and even if it had only been YOU on this planet, right now, he still would have came two-thousand years ago, to die for YOU, because His love for you, specifically, cannot be measured. If your mission statement is to save souls for Jesus, then do it. Because that is His command to all who believe in Him and have accepted the gift of salvation. He has given each of us gifts that we have to tap into, and no one's gift is like anyone else's! God needs YOU to be His hands and feet, because no one can have the impact that YOU do, and no one can do your job like you can. You're special, and He created you for a purpose.
Make it your mission statement to make sure that Jesus gets every soul He paid for. That's what He told us to do.
