Many times, science and The Holy Bible have a similar view about an issue. This time, it’s about something BIG. It’s about The Question:
How old is the Universe?
Almost all living scientists agree about the age of the Universe: they say it is about 13,770,000,000 (± half a billion) years old.
With the Christian believers, it has been more difficult to find the precise definition. Still, there is a general opinion that the Universe and everything in it, including Adam, was created in 6 days and since then, around 6000 years have passed.
I believe that, for everything that is written in the Bible, there has to be a purpose. Can someone, please explain to me, what is the purpose of the following verses:
Matthew 16:17-20:
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
That is what Jesus, once Said to Peter.
And here is what Peter says about the lord, Our God:
2 Peter 3:8
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”
Peter in this verse warns us: “do not forget this one thing”.
Why?
I believe that this verse is all about the time and times. This, I believe, is a mathematical formula, sealed till the time is right. This is a key to calculate the time for everything - from the beginning of the universe to the second coming of Christ. So, to find out how much time we will spend on earth (without Lord, after Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden), we just need to find out how much time has the Lord spent with us. We know that God created everything in the universe, including humans, in 6 days. And that’s it. Now we just need to use that number and do the simple math.
Let’s take a look at the first half of the sentence:
“With the Lord a day is like a thousand years”.
As there were six days of creation, man should spend 6000 years expelled from heavens. During that time, we have the chance to learn the lesson, and get back in heavens (forever), after those 6000 years, or if not, we will die and burn in hell.
How we calculate? Easy, by multiplying:
6 - Number of days of creation
x 1000 - “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years”.
6000 - Number of years that humanity should spend expelled
from heaven.
This is how we determine when is Christ’s second coming. It’s very easy. 6000 years since the fall of Adam and Eve from heaven, according to Bible, is pretty much…. NOW ! ! !
Actually, it is not now, It is suppose to happen in the year of 2029 AD. How do we know that?

We know the exact number of years that have passed from Adam to Abraham. How about from Abraham to Jesus? Well the Bible says:
Matthew 1:17 …fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the Babylonian exile, and fourteen from the Babylonian exile to the Messiah.
In the year 33 AD few days before his crucifixion, Jesus, about the destruction of the holy temple and Jerusalem, said:
Luke 21:6 "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."
We know that the temple was destroyed in the year 70 AD, and if we read this:
Luke 21:32 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened
Means, that one generation equals the time from the year 33 AD till the year 70 AD, or 37 years.
(Adam to Abraham) 2475 + (14x3x37) = 4029
4029 The Year when Jesus was Baptised and Proclaimed as Messiah and Saviour, by John the Baptist
That is why Jesus hasn’t returned after 6000years.
Well, I believe it has something to do with God’s mercy. Christ came to us and stayed with us 33 years, as one of us, but with one difference. He was our saviour in flesh, He was God with us. That can also be used to find out how much time did Adam and Eve spent in Eden, before committing the first sin, or to be precise, the amount of minutes or hours of God’s seventh day.
We will get back to this later. But, for now, let’s find out how long does a single God’s day last, according to Bible.
We already used the first half of the riddle, which is the easy part. I believe that the second part, though looks exactly like the first one, actually is the key to solving the puzzle. Take a good look at the second half of the same Bible verse:
…, “and (with the Lord) a thousand years are like a day”.
Many have tried this in the distant past, but the number they were getting was meaningless. Only in the last two decades, thanks to scientists, the mathematical result of this riddle starts making any sense.
Most of Christians agree that we are living in the Gods seventh day. Now we have a starting point, or hint.
Let’s do the Math. We only need to multiply:
6000 - The number of years in this seventh day.
365 - Number of days in a year
x 1000 - years (with the Lord) are like a day
2,190,000,000 - Actual years on earth that represent a
single day for God.
Wow! Can you believe that? To our Lord, 2,190,000,000 years, are like 6000 years to us.
Now, lets find out how much time did pass on from the creation of the Universe, until everything on earth had been created (including man). To find out that, all we need to do is to multiply again. This time we multiply the number of earthly years that represent one God’s day, with the number of the days of creation:
2,190,000,000 - Actual years on earth since the creation of
Man (just a day for God)

13,140,000,000 -The age of the Universe, after creation of Man.
Since Bible doesn’t give us any information how much time did man spend in Eden, before committing the first sin, the only conclusion we can do, is that it can be, no longer then one God’s Day or 2,190,000,000 years.
So the answer of the Bible is that:
The Universe is old somewhere between 13,140,000,000 and 15,330,000,000 years.
And the scientist’s answer is 13,770,000,000, which is in that range.

I believe, to give precise answer to that question, we need the fact that God actually came to Earth once, and spend 33 earthly years with us. That is the time when we were with God, and those years should not be counted as a part of our 6000 circles around the Sun (without God), but yet be included in the God’s seventh day.
If we take this to be a hint of solving the question:
How much time did Adam spent in Eden?
Than 33 x 365 x 1000 = 12,045,000 which would be the exact time that Adam spent in Eden. And if we add this to 2,190,000,000, we are getting the length of a single God’s day. If we apply this to all of God’s days of creation, by multiplying with 6 and adding it once more, for the seventh day, we get this answer:
The Universe is 13,224,315,000 years old.
Good job, dear scientists. When you say that the universe is 13,770,000,000 (± half a billion) years old, your answer is only 545,685,000 years over this number, this means that Bible’s answer, is almost in that half a billon year range.
We can use that same hint, and add number 33 to 6000 and we are getting the possible answer of the question: When will Jesus return?
Jesus will return in the year of 2033.
From the bible we know that this year should be exactly in the middle of the seven year tribulation period (please be careful, and know that for the chosen ones the rapture is 3.5 years earlier). Now. Bible says that there are going to be signs in the sky. Well, there is this asteroid called Apophis (named by an evil god in ancient Egyptian religion, the deification of darkness and chaos and thus opponent of light), that is going to pass near the Earth on 13th of April 2029, and again on 13th of April 2036 (The day on which actually, the Catholic and Protestant Christians will celebrate Easter, and it is one day after the Jewish paschal week begins). The year of 2033 is, by the way, almost in the middle of this period of seven years. The difference could easily be explained, if we now that the Hebrew New Year, that celebrates the creation of the universe, usually is in September. If we know that 13th of October 2032 is actually Jewish 2033, and it is precisely in the middle, between the two close encounters with the asteroid Apophis.
The period after the month of September 2032 is most probably, the time of the second coming of Jesus, for His 1000 years of reign. But the rapture should occur 3.5 years earlier, or 2000 years after the baptism of Christ - 2029.
Bible in Matthew 24:36 says:
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
But it doesn’t say anything, about not knowing the year, or month. It also says, that we can tell when the time is near. Well…, we don’t know exactly how long lived Jesus, maybe few months longer, but maybe few months shorter (in the past very often people were saying that someone had turn 33 on his 32nd Birthday, because he lives the days of his 33rd year).
Let’s fall in love with God, our Loving Father, our Almighty Creator, and our True Saviour. Let’s fall in love, with our First Love and True Love, once again, and never part from Him!
Many scientists have dedicated their lives, searching for the truth. Many books have been written, to touch the untouchable, and to describe the inexplicable, finally they reached humans limits, beyond this point we can not move without God. We have stumbled upon the so called “dark matter” and “dark energy”. Science have concluded that 99% of the universe is consist of this, what we, the believers are calling, Invisible Matter and Invisible Energy - God.
Lets consider that we were grounded, for our disobedience, God gave Adam and Eve only one simple rule, and they broke it, and the punishment was like we punish our kids now days, “go to your room for 25 minutes and think (to be precise, for our God 6000 years would be like 23.6 minutes).
God does not make mistakes, and He wants us all to be saved. The All-knowing One knows that only few are worth saving, but even for a few all this time spent in creating is worth it.
Pray so you can: 1.Forgive the ones that have done wrong to you.
2.Repent for what you have done wrong, to others, and God.
3.Accept the resurrection of Christ, as a pure sacrifice for your sins, ….And start loving, start truly living, in Truth. In God.
Jesus ones said:
John 15:12
"This is my commandment: that you love one another as I have loved you.
If He wanted us to love our enemies, than how much more should we love our brothers and sisters in Christ? Let’s stop separating from the only true Church, the undivided Body of Christ, no matter if we are: Orthodox, Catholic or Protestant, let’s be Christians. Speak to each other with patience, love and most of all; speak the truth of the Word. Try to find out what it is, that you are doing wrong when serving God, and change it, no matter how difficult it seems. It is time for a general reform of the Church, so every one will know that we are from God. He loves us all, even though we are all sinners.
Christian believers, please consider this: It is not right, that we are dividing our self in Church on national basis. Nor that some of us worship icons, frescoes and statues, and believe that they have heeling power. Put them in the museum to remind us of our blindness, that power belongs only to the Lord. It is not right, to worship Pope or any other man and bow down to him, when even St. Peter who is the founder of the Church in Rome, did not allow people to bow down to him. Stop putting price on Holy services, like: weddings, baptism, funeral prayer, etc. Give freely, just as you received. Acceptable are, only the donations, especially the anonymous ones. Yes, teach people that giving is the biggest blessing, but do not sell God’s love, because love is free and can not be bought, because it is priceless. Stop celebrating, St. Nicolas on Christmas Day, celebrate the coming of Jesus in flesh, celebrate our salvation. Teach the believers to value the important things like marriage, raising our children and not to fall for insignificant things:
1 Corinthians 6:9: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
Don’t wait. Do not be like Mary Magdalene who went on Jesus grave to anoint him with spices, after His death. But rather, be like Mary the sister of Lazarus, who anointed Him, with pure nard, the most expensive anointing oil in that time (she might have sold everything to by it), while He was still preaching. Mary Magdalene saw Him first after His resurrection, but Mary the sister of Lazarus, saw His Glory, even before that.
