THE AFTERMATH
This amazing victory by the Lord against the enemies of God`s people and his land of Israel has some far reaching consequences.
Israel
Israel repents and turns again to God. (Joel 2: 12 - 19) They begin their sacrifices after they have cleansed the land by burying the bodies from the Russian war.
` For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land.` (Ez. 39: 12)
The Nations
The nations of the world call for a cessation of all conflict. They cry for “peace and safety,” in the Middle East. Then into this arena steps a peace negotiator who miraculously brings about a peace-treaty with Israel.
`A king shall arise, having fierce features...through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his hand...` (Dan. 8: 23 - 25)
`...he shall confirm a covenant with many for one `week,` (7 years)...` (Dan. 9: 27)
However.....`when they say, “Peace and Safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.` (1 Thess. 5: 3)
The Tribulation will have begun.
