"Jaffa tried throwing one of those bags already tied now, that she had filled while gathering. But it was a bit harder to throw as high, and Eva was not able to reach it, and it was coming down again, even after several attempts. They both realized it could not be thrown up to where Eva could catch it, and so it would be for the other bag, as well.
"Eva told her sister that she would go home then. 'I will bring back what we have for food, and the one end can be let down where you can tie it around the neck of the bag, that it can be lifted up. Then we can do the same for the other bag.' That did make sense.
"So Eva went back along the way home with the bags she brought. After some time she had the rope the family had made a long while ago, and she brought it along with her to go back along that way to the canyon they had found beyond the hills. She finally came, and looked into the canyon to tell her she had returned with the rope, that they could use as planned. But her sister was not there in sight, neither were the bags. Eva called out, 'Jaffa, where are you?' "
