We war against our fellow man
We know our deeds are wrong
With zeal, we serve the devil’s plan
Each time we sing his song
We’ll bear a grudge however small
We’re deaf to neighbour’s cries
Rejoicing when we see them fall
And laugh at their demise
We’ll gladly break God’s every rule
We’ll lie, connive and cheat
We love to play the devil’s tool
And thrive at Satan’s feet
Wallowing in his filthy ooze
We seek for worldly gain
We care not whom we thus abuse
However much their pain
But why is man yet walking dead?
From Satan still accused?
Why should the world be so misled?
Her children still abused?
Why can’t she see and understand?
There is; a place to go
The Truth seeps steady through the land
Like active yeast in dough
The Lord reveals the devil’s ruse
He pours us gratis wine
So now we’ve truly no excuse
His gospel to decline
So leave the devil to his fate
Let Jesus have His way
God’s day of grace is growing late
