Tomorrow or the Future is interconnected with our existence; it is our life. The dead surely do not care about tomorrow.
Most people have heard the term “Destiny,” and the meaning of Destiny has different interpretation by different people.
Some believe Destiny is about a Destination point in life, while others think Destiny means what will happen to you or what has already happen to you. Some take Destiny to be an event, and others take Destiny to mean a situation, a fate, a fortune or simply a future.
Let us look at Webster’s dictionary definition of the word Destiny: ‘A state or condition appointed or predetermined; an ultimate fate as men are solicitous to know their future destiny, which is however happily concealed from them.’
In addition to the above definition, there is this one also; “destiny is the supposed powers which preside over a human life…”
Examining the above definitions, Destiny therefore means more than just fate, luck, and future. We also see from the definitions that Destiny is thought of as a condition appointed or predetermined, happily concealed from men.
We appreciate the fact that every man’s Destiny is appointed and predetermined by a Power other than the man himself, and concealed or clearly written out on purpose by that Power, this is remarkable!
As mentioned earlier, though many are ignorant or confused by what Destiny is, one man in the Bible knew and understood every detail about the Destiny of men.
King David, one time King of Israel, who had a very close relationship with God, wrote in Psalm 139:16, “but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do.”
Oh, what an amazing revelation for us all. This is the crux of the matter.
The Most High God formed every man, and before He began any of His masterpiece; you and me, He carefully and happily engraved in His book everything that we would do here on earth. He predetermined everything mankind would do on arrival on planet earth and this is the Blueprint for each one of us, otherwise known as the God Given Destiny of a man.
