Each of these: ships, trains, vehicle and many others have a definite course charted for them to travel. You would never find an aircraft moving on the railroads. Nor would you find a train destined for New York from Florida heading towards the West Coast because of unforeseen circumstances or difficulties, and then making a turn somewhere into the Nevada desert, continue from there to Montana, and back across the country, to New York its original destination.
I choose to use the locomotive as an example because of the special nature of its movement, a previously engineered track, a must have, which compares perfectly to the way God has planned for us to move on in life.
Unfortunately, the scenario I just described is how man has chosen to travel the journey of life with no clear-cut direction, plan or map.
So the question again is, would the Sovereign God create us in His likeness and create such a big world for us to dwell in without any clear-cut path, or a road map for us to live by?
Are we supposed to feel our way through life like the blind, as described in the Scripture in Isaiah 59:10 “We feel our way along, as if we were blind; we stumble at noon, as if it were night. We can see no better than someone dead.”
Indeed, many feel their way through life without reference to any maps or charts because they think it is not available for them or impossible to access. Some believe there is one for them, but it is hidden as Job expressed in Job 3:23, “Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, and whom God has hedged in?”
Further on as we read, Job said he stands to be corrected for some of his utterances including the above. In Job 6:24 he said, “Teach me, and I will hold my peace: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred,” that is the point every human creation of God must come to, the point of the understanding of the Ways of God.
This is the point of finding out if you are moving on correctly in life, according to the plan of God, and on the way of God. By so doing you will discover what path God had specially charted for you to live, follow and walk.
Without reaching this point, the plan of God for your life would continue to be hidden, while the presumptions and grumbling increase.
The way of our life is not meant to be hidden from us, as we will soon find out.
