FYI
My concern with this is that its preaching the gospel plus...... The gospel plus anything is not the good news of Jesus Christ.
Its teaching that our works can have an end result on our place in Heaven. If our works or our adherance to rules and regulations designed to make us holy could have an impact on our place in heaven we would have never needed Jesus.
Holiness, dying to flesh is something that comes as we allow the Holy Spirit access to all areas of our life, and allow Him to change us from within. As we allow the Holy Spirit access to more areas of our life we find that our priorities change, and we do things differently, when someone hurts us, instead of lashing back at that person, we find ourselves praying for that person, or even wierder seeking to do something for the person that hurt us so that we can bless them. Romans 12:14 becomes something that is just the natural course of action rather than something that goes against every fibre of our being. When we allow the Holy Spirit to change us, it refreshes and revitalises and brings us life and growth
Seriously the first time that happened, my response was like "God, you want me to bless that person, are you flipping nuts".
When we try to attain holiness or try to die to flesh through our own efforts, it sucks the life out of us and leaves us with a replica of christianity that is dry and draining.
IMO people will always stuff up, no ones going to achieve perfection this site of the grave, however as people progress along in their walk, they become more like Jesus. IMO if after a period of time if people are still indulging in the same behavior that they did before they got saved, then perhaps they arent allowing the Holy Spirit accesss to all areas of their lives
