The Church

Today God’s door is open wide
Who come to Christ can walk inside
God’s living house of spiritual jewels
Its not a place for playing fools

Though on a hill or valley deep
A place of worship not to sleep
A house to come when something’s wrong
To praise God’s name and sing life’s song

A place to come when left alone
Where Christ can melt our heart of stone
A place of peace yet vibrant bright
To seek God’s face and bask in Light

We come to church on Christ to lean
Strangers are friends we’ve yet not seen
You’ll feel at home in just a while
Once you see a friendly smile

God forms His church through Christ above
His chosen sheep receive great love
Salvation’s free we’ve nought to pay
So come and try The Lord today

We talk to God we hear His word
We dance we sing the truth is heard
To Jesus’ sheep God shares His views
We’ve all to win and nought to lose

For sinner saint for young and old
We buy from God what can’t be sold
The world of shame fails God to know
While sin remains to church I’ll go

Come join the ranks put shame to flight
Receive God’s robe of Liquid Light
Through Jesus’ Dove we’ll learn to fly
Until we reach our home on high…
