The Christian Life

[FONT=&quot]I was asked a while back, ‘why are you a Christian? Isn’t it hard to be a Christian?’ Well the first, is this. I know in my heart that Christ is my savior. This is my faith. It is what Christianity is based on.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Luke 2:11[/FONT][FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Acts 5:31[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]2 Timothy 1:10[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I have faith that Jesus will get me to Heaven. I know in my heart of hearts, that Jesus died on the cross, resurrected in the flesh and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Matthew 27:50[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Matthew 28:5-6[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.[/FONT][FONT=&quot] He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Matthew 28:9[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him.[/FONT][FONT=&quot] [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Mark 16:19[/FONT][FONT=&quot][/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]You see the Bible tells us that Jesus is our Savior, He died, arose and ascended to Heaven. The Bible also tells us that the only way to God is through Jesus.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]John 14:6[/FONT][FONT=&quot]
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Now that second question. ‘Isn’t hard to be a Christian?’ No, it is not. Jesus, Himself even tells us how easy it will be.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Matthew 11:29-30[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and [/FONT][FONT=&quot]you will find rest for your souls[/FONT][FONT=&quot].[/FONT][FONT=&quot] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]We are also told, that love is the key to being a good Christian.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Matthew 22:36-40[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”[/FONT][FONT=&quot] And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]To me it is easy to be a Christian. Can you love? Love is the best thing we have to give. If you love your neighbor, you help them. If you love your neighbor, you share God’s word. If you love your neighbor, you feed him if he is hungry. How much easier could it be? [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]1 Corinthians 13:4-8[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,[/FONT][FONT=&quot] does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; …[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]God, in His most thoughtful of ways, even tells us what love is! How can you not be in awe of Him? [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]So, in closing it is awesome being a Christian and it is also very easy! [/FONT]
