After reading this from Psalm 22:26 (MEV):
…They who seek the Lord will praise him - may
your hearts live forever!
And also thinking about that street phrase,
"Don't be so heavenly-minded that you're no
earthly good"
* Matthew 19:16-21
** Matthew 13:45-46
^ John 10:28
^^ Psalm 118:6; Romans 8:38-39
+ Revelation 19:9; Luke 14:15-24

Just how grounded is untethered faith?
Is it “no earthly-good” to be unlimitedly
Heavenly-minded?
Oh my soul,
with the routine distractions,
what a strange question,
such an odd assertion!
We disciples battle
to focus our trust, to advance in key moments
and in little things—mostly these.
Where is our treasure this very instant,*
that Pearl of Great Price**
which no one can steal from us,^
by their words make it tarnish? ^^
Let devotion be an unconstrained chorus,
seek, praise the Lord!
The flowering heart of the saint has colors forever,
that we each take from the earth
to adorn the Banqueting Table. +
Truly, bloom where you are!
