Luke 2:13-15 (NLT)
13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
15 When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem!
Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Does the manger need yearly, fresh straw? A heartwarming, childlike aspiration.
Yes, 'twould be a dream, to keep the Advent year-round. Yet, “with whom God is pleased”
awakens hearts with stirring, to seek why stars had aligned, prophecies fulfilling.^
Herod faltered at the Coming, seeking power to retain. God Incarnate relinquished His, the
self-effacing Face of Love, gaining honor from Earth Day-One.
The Once-swaddled sits enthroned on high, raiment juxtaposed to what had marked a
stunning descent. Yet, beyond Bethlehem, we still see Him kind.
