Testing and Tough Goodbyes

No, testing doesn't have to do with the situations I've been facing lately...well, maybe they have in a way. I took a Testing in ESL course last weekend. I had my prof from another course, who I actually enjoy despite my previous roommate having scared me before my first class (of that other course). I learned all the ways you're supposed to make up tests and all the ways you're not supposed to make up tests. It made me realize that a lot of the teachers I've had in high school and university make really bad tests (not to mention some awful teaching methods). Now I'm thinking of expanding my ESL book library and I'm finding that I want to buy a lot of books that I simply don't have the money for. Ah well, next pay cheque. How am I ever gonna get back to university with all the money I've been spending on paints for my current painting course, car insurance, and necessary personal items?

While I was down at my university, I got to spend some time with a very good friend of mine. It was so hard to leave because I don't have friends like her up here in Williams Lake. I miss being able to hang out with friends. Being with family is nice, but it's not the same as having a friend to chill with.

Some wonderful reflecting on my homework situation led me to believe that I'm behind. I found out from my tutor that I have to redo a section of my first assignment, which sucks 'cause it only took me at least 6 HOURS to do! So now I have to finish up assignment 1 and start on assignment 2 AND start doing a final project for my Testing course for which I still have to buy a textbook and spend even more money. So much for saving up this year...
