Sweet Banter

We say nice things, to everyone
Sweet banter we’ll employ
While eating ice-cream, in the sun
Flooding the world with joy

We’ll say what people love to hear
Bring smiles to all we meet
A total stranger, we will cheer
Like family when we meet

Nice words of course should have a place
Where hearts cry in despair
Where children need a friendly face
With words, full tender care

So, are so called, churches now
Unlike the book of acts
To fill their pews, they’ll preach and bow
Denying, life’s true facts

Is this how love, should serve today?
How pastors should behave?
Pleasing the youth, till old and grey?
Christ Jesus, died to save!

While spreading love, cannot be wrong
Nor speaking what is right
When sinners sing Salvation’s song
Flooding their souls with light

No river of life will ever flow
Through delicacies we feed
Life’s righteous harvest, will only grow
Planting life’s living Seed

Give man God’s Truth, spread Heaven’s Word
Give Jesus flock fresh bread
Choice meat, till strong, from facts they’ve heard
Will raise the walking dead…..
