Summer In The Rain

Its Summer time, the sun is out
Yet life’s full stormy rain
Suffering much festooned with doubt
If things will change again

I’ve heard of God, who reigns on high
Of Christ who died for me
If I believe, I’ll never die
And God Himself I’ll see

If Heaven’s real, if God is there
Christ Jesus could be true
Bible promises, will be to share
With such as me and you

Will faith though change my weather now?
Will God graft me in the Vine?
If I, my knee to Jesus bow
Will joy again be mine?

If Heaven’s word can be believed
Through faith man is reborn
Eternal life will be received
Beyond the youngest dawn

I’d be unwise to turn Christ down
Die as a foolish man
Refusing life’s eternal crown
Rejecting Heaven’s plan

When Satan’s quit the battle field
When Jew and church are one
When all life’s facts have been revealed
God’s gracious will is done

So hear these words, my God in prayer
Lend ear this sinner’s plea
Bestow life’s gift You have to share
To this child, on bended knee…..
