Stop Monkeying Around

Monday, December 01, 2008, 1:28 a.m. – this song is in my head:

On My Knees / Nicole C Mullen

There are days,
When I feel
The best of me
Is ready to begin
Then they're days,
When I feel
I'm letting go,
And soaring on the wind
But I've learned that after all the pain,
How to survive

I can be
In a crowd,
Or by myself,
Or almost anywhere
When I feel
There's a need,
To talk with God
He is Emmanuel
When I close my eyes,
No darkness there,
There's only light

I get on my knees
I get on my knees
There I am before the love that
Changes me
See, I don't know how,
But there's power
In the blue sky,
I don't know how,
But there's power
In the midnight,
I don't know how,
But there's power
When I'm on my knees

The Lord gave me A VISION: I saw the search I had done earlier on E-bay for a vintage toy that had shown up in a previous vision, Farewell:The toy had 2 parallel sticks with a dowel in the middle and a rubber band at the top. When you squeezed the 2 sticks at the bottom, the object attached to the band flipped around.”

I asked the Lord what he wanted to show me, and he showed me a monkey. The monkey was lying on its back and someone was playing with it. Then, I saw a lion cub. And, I heard this song: “Jesus, I am resting, resting in the joy of what Thou art. I am finding out the greatness of Thy loving heart…”

Then, I saw Arab-looking people. I started to hear the name “Gaddafi” again, but it cut off before it got all the way out. Then I saw monkeys playing in the street or in the town square.

Following that I saw what looked like a black mask that covered just the eyes. It looked evil. Then I saw an elephant with royal-looking cloth over it and then I saw a woman with a veil over her face riding the elephant, I believe.

After that I heard “Princess Lea” followed by “Star Wars” and “Trilogy.”

Then I heard this passage of scripture next from John 3:1-21:

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

9"How can this be?" Nicodemus asked.

10"You are Israel's teacher," said Jesus, "and do you not understand these things? 11I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. 14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Monkey: besides the animal, other def: foolish; to copy or imitate somebody or something; somebody who behaves badly, annoyingly, or high-spiritedly (Encarta).

“The events depicted in Star Wars media take place in a fictional galaxy. Many species of alien creatures (often humanoid) are depicted. Robotic droids are also commonplace and are generally built to serve their owners. Space travel is common, and many planets in the galaxy are members of a Galactic Republic, later reorganized as the Galactic Empire.

One of the prominent elements of Star Wars is the "Force", which is an omnipresent form of energy which can be harnessed by those with that ability. It is described in the first produced film as "an energy field created by all living things surrounds us, penetrates us, binds the galaxy together." The Force allows users to perform a variety of supernatural feats (such as telekinesis, clairvoyance, precognition, and mind control) and also can amplify certain physical traits, such as speed and reflexes; these abilities can vary from user to user and can be improved through training. While the Force can be used for good, it has a dark side that, when pursued, imbues users with hatred, aggression, and malevolence. The six films feature the Jedi, who use the Force for good, and the Sith, who use the dark side for evil in an attempt to take over the galaxy. In the Expanded Universe many dark side users are Dark Jedi rather than Sith, mainly because of the Rule of Two (see Sith Origin)…” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars

My Understanding: This “monkey in the middle” represents all mankind, I believe, who are imitators (monkeys) of man instead of imitators of God. A monkey is someone who just plays around; is an imitator of the world; is foolish; and who behaves badly. I believe the Lord is speaking specifically here to those who are either Arab people or who are living among Arab people who are imitating their ways (the monkeys in the town square).

Our country (USA) is imitating the ways of the world and the world as a whole is imitating the type or form of global government that is described in the Star Wars trilogy. A trilogy means “three” and it is obvious from reading about Star Wars that they were functioning in a position of trying to, through the use of artificial means, fake the characteristics of Almighty God, so this is like a fake trinity (Dragon, Beast of the sea and beast of the earth). I believe this parallels over to the Tribulation.

So, God is going to “put the squeeze” on man (the monkeys in the middle), i.e. he is coming to judge mankind because of their refusal to accept the testimony about Jesus Christ as the Savior and Messiah of the world, because they loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds are evil and thus they hate the light and fear their deeds will be exposed, and because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior, Lord and coming King.

Our only way to salvation is to get on our knees in humility and repentance before Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth, and to believe in Jesus. To believe in Jesus is not just to pray a prayer or to give some intellectual assent to his Deity or even to his dying on the cross for our sins, but we must be “born again.” That means to start over; fresh; new, like a lion cub. If we remain fleshly, it will only give birth to flesh. Only the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Whoever lives by the Spirit is one who lives by the truth and who comes into the light so that his works may be shown for what they are; that they have been done through God.
