I awoke from a troubled night of sleep and started my usual morning routine of preparing for the day. I got to facebook and as I glanced at the News Feed I found my self getting rather indignant. We in the LGBT community have been conditioned most of our lives to believe we were not fit for anything worhty for used by God. Nehemiah was a cupbearer for the king, Esther was an orphan raised by an uncle, Gideon was a scared young man hiding, Rahab was a harlot. God has set each of his sons and daughters EXACTLY where they need to be to fulfil their destiny and yet for the most part we(me included) spend our time coming up with flimsy excuses to avoid stepping out in faith. I am a christian who is also a transexual, who is better equipped to share the Love and Mercy of God within the trans community than one who is a part of it? We each have our own sphere of influence and regardless of what the world says about us in the Father's eyes we have been placed, in His Love for us and others, in a very specific time and place so that we can be as an oasis in the desert or a safe haven in the storms of life. Could it be that a part of our Advent season is to prepare and encourage us to truly become the Light on the Hill so many are desperately needing to see. Be Blessed and always be true to who you were created to be.
