So, as I have touched upon in my introduction post this evening, I am in the process of finding my way in my faith. I rediscovered my faith in 2008, after going through a massive emotional and spiritual roller coaster following the premature birth of my son, Owen. Since then, I have gone through, along with my wife, another premature birth, and the worry of a third pregnancy, both of which culminated in happy endings. Couple this to a house move, the struggle to turn around a failing business and make it a success, and my own foolish actions which almost resulted in the end of my marriage, and it's fair to say that I could have easily been pushed the other way, away from God, and away from faith in Him.
At the start of this year I made a decision (not a resolution, as these are all to easily broken) to make a real effort to live my life more in line with the faith I talk about. I aim to be more tolerant; think more about my words and actions; be thankful for what I have, instead of what I have to put up with. I hope that I make this journey a long and fruitful one, instead of a stuttering, difficult one.
I know I'm a sinner, and I don't expect to be able to make these changes overnight, but I'm going to give it everything I have. I intend to use this blog as a diary of sorts, posting in it regularly and being as honest as I possibly can. I appreciate all input and comments, and look forward to your company.
Luke 18:13 "God, have mercy on me, a sinner"
Show me the path to walk, and I will try to follow it.
