Solomon the peacemaker play part 1 I wrote for Sunday school

Solomon the peacemaker
Music is playing in the background as the audience takes their seats. We open at stage right, spot light on dimly, the room dark, with Mom and the two girls sitting in the living room, Mom is reading and humming to herself as the girls struggle with a toy they both claim belongs to them, fireplace backdrop. Music fades to off and the lights stay dim as the narrator sets the stage of our story. When the narrator says ' Lets peek in...', start dialing up the lights to fully lit when the narrator is done speaking.
Narrator;
Ladies and gentlemen? Ladies and gentlemen! Yes, that means you too.(He says laughingly) Yes, you there, the one still squirming in your seat! (He pauses for effect)Thank you. Now, ladies and gentlemen, our story begins with Kim and Rachel, ages 9 and 11, who have NOT been getting along lately, they are in the middle of an arguement that is beginning to look like it could get them both into serious trouble with Mom. Lets peek in for a moment and see how things are faring for our friends Kim & Rachel...
Kim
"Im telling mom". (She whispers fiercely as her sister yanks the doll away from her)
Rachel
"Go ahead, she will just take it away and you wont get to play with it anyways" (She whispers and sticks out her tongue)They continue to struggle as mom sighs and shakes her head
Kim
"Mom!!! Rachel wont give me my doll!" (She says rather loudly)
Rachel
"Its not hers its mine, she broke hers and now she wants mine!" (She flips her hair and looks away)Kim
"That’s not true mom, I woke up this morning and her old broken one was on my bed and she had mine all wrapped up next to her, see, this one has the pink lips, Rachels had the purple ones." (She says quickly, agitated by her sister as they continue to push at each other)
Mom
"Girls! (Exasperated, Mom puts down her book, holds her hand out to the girls for the doll. After she gets the doll she suddenly pauses as she gets an idea) This reminds me of a story I read in the bible the other day."
Kim and Rachel
(Kim and Rachel both groan, looking at each other and say, in unison) "Not another bible story!" (They continue to push and pull at each other as Mom looks down at her bible)
Mom
"Yes! 'Another' bible story! (She says with a laugh picking up her bible), I believe it was in 1st Kings, hmm? Was it chapter 2 or 3?(She thinks out loud as she thumbs through the pages) Let me see?? Oh! Here it is! All right girls! Settle down and listen! This is the story of Young King Solomon. Did you two know he was only 12 years old when he was made King?
Kim and Rachel
"Yes Mom!!" (They both say in exasperation as they look down and shake their heads)
Rachel
"Our Sunday teacher told us about Solomon a few weeks ago. How he was a peacemaker, he was a 12 year old king, weve heard this before Mom, do we really have to hear it again?" (Said with slight sarcasm while ticking off her fingers)
Mom
"Oh yes! We 'absolutely' have to hear this again!" (She says, looking over her glasses at them with a little authority in her voice, looking from one girl to the other for emphasis)
Kim and Rachel
"OK Mom" (they both say sheepishly, settling in with looks of resignation at each other)
Mom
"OK!" (Mom sighs and settles in to read) "1st Kings 3, I think we will begin at verse 3, " And Solomon loved the Lord" (Mom looks at the girls as she says) "walking with Him the same way his Dad did…
"Light fades to black, she continues to read the passage in a lower voice so the narrator can talk over her voice, her voice slowly fades away as the lights fade. Narrator starts speaking when her voice fades to a whisper.
Narrator
"One night after worship, with many offerings of praise to God, Solomon was sleeping and God appeared to him in a dream, as Solomon dreamt, God spoke to him.
"Lights fade up on stage left with Solomon sleeping on his throne, as God speaksBack drop of palace
God
"Ask Solomon! Ask for anything! What shall I give you?
"When God says 'Ask for anything' Stage left lights gradually fade to black as Solomon mumbles in his sleep and we return to the family as stage right lights fade to bright
Mom
"Can you imagine? God telling you that you can have anything! Anything at all! (As she sits, bible in her lap) What would you girls ask for?
Rachel
(Before Mom even gets the last word out she immediately blurts out) "Another doll! I mean…" (her voice fading as she says 'I mean', realizing she almost spilled the beans)
Kim
(Jumping in before Rachel can finish) "I know, I know! My own room!"( She harrumphs triumphantly, folding her arms and looking at her sister while sticking 'her' tongue out)
Mom
"You two! We 'really' need to read the rest of this story don’t we?" (She exclaims with a stern tone)Kim and Rachel
"I guess" (they both exclaim together, rather morosely. [Definition of morose:moody; despondent; bitter; irritable])
Rachel
"I know! If were quiet and listen real good, can we have some ice cream when were done?" (She says with a grin)
Kim and Rachel
"Can we Mom? Please, please!" (They both say with excitement)
Mom
"We'll see. Now settle down, both of you and lets hear this story!"
Kim and Rachel
"Allright!" (They both grumble a bit as they settle in to hear the story)
Mom
"Lets see what Solomon says after God offered him anything he wanted, I think we left off at verse 6, Solomon replied to God, "My father David, your servant, was honest and did what you commanded. You were always loyal to him, and you gave him a son who is now king. LORD God, I'm your servant, and you've made me king in my father's place. But I'm very young and know so little about being a leader. And now I must rule your chosen people, even though there are too many of them to count. Please make me wise and teach me the difference between right and wrong. Then I will know how to rule your people. If you don't, there is no way I could rule this great nation of yours.
"As Mom begins, "If you don't, there is no way…" stage right lights begin to fade to black and stage left lights begins to fade up. Solomon is still sleeping. The Narrator begins as Solomon shifts in his sleep.
Narrator
"The Lord was very pleased with Solomon because he had unselfishly asked for wisdom,. So God replied…"
God
"Solomon, I'm pleased that you asked for this. You could have asked to live a long time or to be rich. Or you could have asked for your enemies to be destroyed. Instead, you asked for wisdom to make right decisions. So I'll make you wiser than anyone who has ever lived or ever will live. I'll also give you what you didn't ask for. You'll be rich and respected as long as you live, and you'll be greater than any other king. If you obey me and follow my commands, as your father David did, I'll let you live a long time".
