Sing To The Lord

How foolish still are worldly wise
In shame they dance the devil’s lies
Partake his wine his evil bread
And sing his songs while walking dead

To glorify God’s name in praise
The truth is taught since ancient days
God gave to man His song to sing
To soar above on eagle’s wing

Lift joyous hearts and sing in love
Let praise arise upon the Dove
Heaven and earth will take delight
When God receives our song in flight

Angels on high may never sing
Songs of Zion to God The King
But those redeemed in Christ rejoice
Lift high your heads and raise your voice

Look neither left nor to the right
Sing songs of love with all your might
Sing as you walk your Groom to greet
Sing to God at Jesus’ feet

Sing out long or just a while
Each song we sing brings God a smile
His blessings surely fill the earth
So sing in Christ for all you’re worth

Let every child of God by choice
Lift high your heads and raise your voice
Alone in truth let voices ring
For only this will please our King

So heed each song you choose to rise
Be faithful true and always wise
With heart and soul give praise today
God’s singer of songs won’t see decay.
