Is your heart trouble free?
Amazing things in truth we find
When eyes selfless can see
Please ask yourself if Christ is real?
Ask if the bible’s true
If God’s aware of how you feel
And sees the things you do
Now ask yourself who made the earth?
The starry host above
Who gave to Eve and Adam birth?
If not The King of Love
Just spare a moment, look inside
Take stock of how you live
Are secrets there you seek to hide?
Or wish The Lord to give?
Such thoughts prevail from time to time
The young as well as old
We each have fallen fowl to crime
When lives in truth unfold
The feelings in one’s heart at night
The murmurs deep within
These thoughts from which we’d soon take flight
Are fruit of wayward sin
Regardless of your answer now
In spite of how much shame
Let wisdom lead your knee to bow
Seek God in Jesus’ name
Through God alone is life restored
Beneath His healing wing
