BECAUSE WE ARE SO PRONE TO NEGLECTING AND FORGETTING ABOUT THE NEEDS OF OTHER PEOPLE, WE THINK THAT GOD IS CAPABLE OF BEING SLOTHFUL TOWARD US. AND SO WE ACCUSE HIM OF NEGLECTING US WHEN CIRCUMSTANCES BECOME PAINFUL, OR SIMPLY NOT TO OUR LIKING.
John 14:16 - And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.
Matthew 13:14 - In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will look and look and not see.
AS LONG AS WE SEE ONLY WITH OUR BODILY EYES, WE WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE LIKE A BLIND CAPTIVE, FUMBLING AROUND INSIDE A PRISON CELL IN THE DARK OF NIGHT - WHILE ALL THE TIME THE DOOR THAT LEADS TO OUR FREEDOM STANDS OPEN.
Ephesians 1:18 - I pray that your inward eyes my be illumined, so that you know what is the hope to which he calls you.
