See! As Peter Saw

Although we know salvation’s free
Through Christ, for all to take
Some still persist, as oft we see
Life’s sacred act to fake

Not all, who come to church, are saved
Not all are born on high –1Pe.1:23
Without God’s Lamb, though well behaved
We’re cold inside and dry

Salvation’s not a passing trend
But life’s eternal door
It’s free to all whose knees will bend
And see as Peter saw –Mt.16:16

Apostle Paul could see it too
Could see his jailer’s need –Ac.16:30
So he, could join the chosen few
He shared with him life’s Seed –Ac.16:31

The truth of Christ, was then revealed
An exit, to his guilt
The jaws of death, were finally sealed
And life’s true road was built

It’s through this; rock, true life’s received –Mt.16:18
God’s word like rivers flow
His Seed of truth, when once received
Inside will surely grow

It opens wide the blindest eyes
It guides all those who’ve strayed
Though foolishness; to those who die
It’s wisdom, when obeyed

Make sure you’re real, and don’t pretend
With lies, there’s nought to gain
Remain God true until the end
If with His Son, you’ll reign…
