When Satan took Jesus up to the Highest mountain He showed Him all the Kingdoms of the World.Satan promised that He would give Jesus all these things if he would fall down and Praise Satan Luke 4:5-7.
Jesus replied by reminding Satan that there was only one God and only God shall one serve.Luke 4:8.
I believe that this piece of scripture is so important.
We can all have idles in our lives that we worship.
Money is the biggest idle.
Judas Iscariot sold Jesus out for thirty pieces of silver.

14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. 16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
Jesus stayed with a rich man and his family overnight.The man had much money and influence,He wanted to follow Jesus.
Jesus asked the rich man to leave all He had and follow Him but he refused and became sad.money was the rich man's God.
Matthew19:20-22
20 The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth.
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
There are stories of many people who have sold their bodies or their souls for money or gain.
I heard the story about a very rich man who had checked into a Hotel on business.
He saw a young woman vacuuming the carpet.She was employed as a Domestic cleaner at the Hotel.This job was one of three jobs that she did during each day.This woman had two children which she cared for on her own,she had no money.
The rich man went up to her and promised her a million pounds if she would spend the night with him.
She refused and the man went his way.
The young woman was troubled though ,she could`t get the man's proposal out of her mind.
She waited for him to come down from his room and when he did she went up to him and accepted his proposal.
The rich man met her after her shift had ended and took her out and bought her fine clothes and jewellery and then took her to a plush restaurant and wined and dined her.
It was then time to take her to his room,he poured a bottle of champagne.
He looked at her then he said.A million pounds is a lot of money,too much money,we need to negotiate a price.
The going rate is a 100 pounds you can keep the clothes and jewellery.
What should the young woman do?
She had been tempted by riches,to sell her body and soul for a price.
How much would it take for you to sell your body,soul and spirit for?
Your body is not your own ,Jesus bought your body when He shed His blood and gave His life for you a Calvary.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for you.Money could not buy the price that He paid for your salvation.
1Cor 6:20
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body
and in your spirit, which are God’s.
It is impossible to serve two Gods,there is only one God serve Him and you will have all the riches of Heaven to look forward to.
Jesus Christ wants your heart,He freely gives His to you.
You cannot give your life to Jesus Christ if there are idles in your life.
Jesus told Satan to get behind Him on the mountain.
He wanted to serve His Father in Heaven only.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Whatever it is it is your treasure and nothing but God through Jesus Christ is worthy of it.

You Cannot Serve God and Riches
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon.
We need to focus in on God only
We do not need any other distraction.
We need to put God through His Son Jesus Christ first in our lives.
The most important relationship we will ever have.
