Salvations Too Precious

Oh Lord, my God, refresh my heart
Replenish, please my soul
Let not Your Holy Ghost depart
But guide me to my goal

So often, I know I’ve failed You
Much grief, I’ve caused my King
Allow once more, life to pursue
Beneath my Father’s Wing

Salvation’s too precious to lose Lord
Redemption cost so much
I fear Your rage, Your vengeful sword
I need your healing touch

I hunger for love, for truth I thirst
For Heaven’s grace I yearn
Through sin, I feel once more I’m cursed
Destined in hell to burn

Forgive each evil transgression
My selfish wayward path
Consider this true confession
Please save me from Your wrath

How much I thought I was grounded
Christ Jesus was my all
But the depths to which I’ve floundered
Has brought about this fall

I thought that I was far too strong
No failure could ensue
Only a fool could be so wrong
To cause this break from You

Through repentance, Lord I’m trying
To seek once more Your face
My very heart and soul’s crying
Humbly praying for grace…..
